Home Students completing their GED® in South Africa can join one of our group of community-led service provider centres or one of our Virtual Tutors to ensure they receive the support needed to pass!
With GETeducare© tutoring readiness course students can work from home with help from the Virtual centre tutors or join any one of our group of learning centres to prepare them for the GED® exams!
Term tests must be submitted by the required due dates!
If a student fails one subject, they are able to rewrite only the one subject, no need to redo the whole year!
There are various exam locations where you can book the exam once you are ready.
Exams costs $60 per subject - see current exchange rate.
Results are given on the same day, before student leave the exam location and a transcript will be emailed to you!
In South Africa, there are no levels of passing...You either get a passed or failed status. The points needed to pass is 145 points - which equates to 75% pass mark for all 4 subjects.
The GED® test is America’s only nationally recognized high school-equivalency test. Since 1942, the GED® test has been an important part of education and a vital second-chance opportunity.
The 2014 GED® is a series of tests, which is considered closest comparable to the National Senior Certificate in South Africa and a High School Graduation Diploma World Wide.
The 10 subjects are divided into 4 final examinations:

Science - Biology, Space, Chemistry, Physics
Social Studies - History, Economics, Civics, Geography.
Students can apply at Veritaseducare.co.za with their GED credential to further their university studies!
In accordance with the Immigration Act, only students who have a South African ID or passport, a valid study permit or have refugee status will be allowed to write the GED® test at one of the Boston City Campus & Business College VUE Testing Centres are exclusively authorized to offer the GED® Examinations within South Africa. There are currently 38 testing centers nationwide.
On the day of the exam, on arrival at the testing center, students must provide one of the above documents to be allowed to write the examinations. Birth certificates are not accepted.
